Percussionist Bradley (Brad) Loudis is one of the newest members to our RPO, joining us this Season. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Bradley studied at Temple University where he received his music degrees. Though his work week varies, he always starts the day with a cup of coffee. His days could be a combination of score study, preparing for RPO concerts, or any of his other musical endeavors. In addition to his work with the RPO, Bradley is the 2nd Percussion of the Opera Philadelphia and performs three weeks of the summer with the Britt Festival Orchestra (Jacksonville, Oregon). He also performs with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Kansas City Symphony.
Though he takes a holistic approach to percussion performance, Bradley still gets nervous for orchestra concerts. Nevertheless, he gathers himself together and quickly warms up before a show! Post-concert wind-downs usually involve a late-night bite at a local eatery. However, he highly encourages the chance for concertgoers to talk to him after performances!
Despite his constant travels, Brad has made Rochester a place to live, work, and play. Whether it’s enjoying ice cream in the Southwedge or participating in the Pittsford Triathlon, Brad is a committed member of our community. For almost a century, your RPO has also been a continued presence in the region. From our classical concerts to community programs, we make it our mission to bring the art of music to audiences throughout our neighborhoods.
